Sandrine Devilard jeton në Paris dhe ka shkaktuar polemika për shkak të martesës së saj me një burrë të vjetër. Sandrine u martua me një burrë 25 vjet më të madh se ajo, Marcel Amphouc, i cili jetonte i vetmuar larg nga kryeqyteti.

Marcel 68 vjeç, nuk ishte aspak një lypës i pambrojtur, veçse jetonte i izoluar, por me një pasuri marramendëse, që tani vlerësohet të jetë pak më shumë se një milion euro. Kur Sandrine, një agjente e pasurive të patundshme, iu afrua Marcel-it për herë të parë nuk ishte romantike, por nga interesi ekonomik, gruaja kërkoi për të blerë pronat që Marcel kishte pasur në Alpet zvicerane, me vlerë prej qindra mijëra euro, por ai refuzoi shitjen.

Për habinë e fqinjëve të saj, Sandrine u shfaq disa muaj më vonë si nusja e të vetmuarit. Shumë dyshonin tek qëllimet e Sandrine, duke pasur parasysh mënyrën e jetesës dhe paraqitjen e Marcel, sepse ata mendonin se vendimi për t’u martuar ishte rezultat i një manipulimi të llogaritur. Martesa e tyre ishte shumë e diskutuar dhe akoma më shumë kur Sandrine vendosi mos të jetojë më me të, por në kryeqytet.

Një vit më vonë Marcel vdiq në një aksident. Dita e funeralit të tij, ku morën pjesë të gjithë fqinjët, ata thonë se e veja e tij filloi t’u tregojë të gjithëve se pronat ishin të sajat dhe u detyrua të braktiste çdo gjë që i përkiste burrit të saj. Për habinë e të gjithëve, Marcel ia la gjithë pasurinë e tij kushërirës dhe një shpërndarje fqinjëve, ndërsa testamenti me dorëshkrimin e tij përcaktonte se Sandrine nuk do të merrte asgjë.
