Jeta nuk shkon gjithmonë siç e kemi imagjinuar. Pa marrë parasysh se sa doni diçka, pa marrë parasysh sa shumë përpiqeni ta merrni atë, nganjëherë, universi thjesht ka plane të tjera.

Pas disa viteve, nënat e Janice dhe Prentiss vdiqën disa muaj pas njëra-tjetrës. Pas këtyre hidhërimeve, të dy ishin duke shfletuar në mesin e gjërave të nënave të tyre dhe të dy bënë të njëjtin zbulimin. Të dyja gratë kishin bërë të njëjtën gjë, edhe pse nuk njiheshin: Kishin prerë nga gazeta njoftimin e fejesës së fëmijëve të tyre!
