Është raportuar pak vite më parë se ajo vụan nga para liza faciale, që i ka prekur gojën. Ndaj ajo nuk performon më në skena me këngët e saj. Mbase nuk dëshiron për këtë arsye, që publiku ta shohë në një gjendje ku ajo nuk mund të këndojë më. Një këngëtare e përmasave si Parashqevi Simaku, megjithatë, i mungon skenës shqiptare, transmeton ‘elbasaniplus’.
Pas largimit në SHBA, në fillim të viteve ’90, ajo u rikthye shumë rrallë. Për herë të fundit më shumë se dy dekada më parë. Nuk dihet prej vitesh më asgjë për një nga këngëtaret ikonë të Shqipërisë.
Edhe këtij muaji, që numëron ditët e fundit, ajo i këndoi një nga këngët simbol të rinisë së atëhershme, këngë që këndohet me nostalgji edhe sot. Sepse e tillë ishte Parashqevia, për të mbetur në zemrat dhe memorien e popullit dhe publikut… ndoshta në përjetësi.
Parashqevi Simaku, këngëtarja e dashur e shqiptarëve iku nga Shqipëria në vitin 1992. Asnjë lajm prej saj, derisa u rikthye. Për të marrë pjesë në Festivalin e Këngës dhe dhënë një koncert në Shqipëri. Ishte viti 1997.
Koha e gabuar për ta bërë këtë. Në Shqipëri luftohej. Parashqevia dha këtë intervistë, në Hotel Rogner, për gazetaren Rudina Xhunga. Ishte 14 shkurt 1997. Ndaj edhe pse në Shqipëri kishte luftë, të gjitha pyetjet janë për dashurinë. Intervista nuk u botua për shkak se gazeta “Koha Jonë” u dogj më 2 mars 1997.
