Por Alketa ka zgjedhur të jetë e rezervuar, dhe zgjedh të flasë shumë pak për familjarët e saj. Megjithatë, në një intervistë për një gazetë italiane, moderatorja ka vendosur të rrëfejë disa detaje, që nuk i njihnim më parë.

Vejsiu ka treguar se bashkëshortin e ka njohur kur donte të binte një shtëpi për prindërit. Ai ishte një ndërtues pallati, dhe pas disa takimesh, kishin rënë në dashuri.
Por ja se si nisi historia e saj e dashurise kur rastesisht kishte shkuar per te blere nje hyrje per prinderit e saj dhe ajo njohu bashkeshortin e saj ate dite i cili ishte ndertuesi i pallatit.

“E kam njohur kur kisha vendosur të bleja një shtëpi për prindërit. Isha 20 vjeçe në atë periudhë dhe bëja dy punë. Ai ishte ndërtuesi i pallatit, që kisha zgjedhur për prindërit. Lashë një takim.

Mbaj mend që ai hoqi syzet dhe unë pashë ato sytë e kaltër që të bënin të çmendeshe. Për nëntë muaj deri në pagesën e parë, nuk ndodhi asgjë, por më pas ndodhi historia jonë e mrekullueshme e dashurisë. Historia e jetës sime,”– është shprehur Alketa Vejsiu.
Lidhur me fëmijët, moderatorja ka treguar se është mjaft e lidhur me ta, sidomos me djalin Lionel, i cili është një kopje e saj.
